During the 2020-2021 academic year when schools were experiencing tremendous challenges, a Harry Potter program was launched in a small K-12 school in Cooper Landing, Alaska to bring a little light to the dark times. Now in its fourth year, this reading journey has inspired reluctant students to become avid readers who actively invest their time and energy into learning. Join in to discover how to incorporate educational standards with life lessons to create a thematic unit that builds student engagement, and encourages growth as independent thinkers and active community members.
