Throughout media, time and again we find displays of our most intimate natures. From Daemons who settle into forms most resembling their counterpart’s truest self, to Patronus Guardians whose forms reflect their caster’s deepest animal affinity, often characters have a part of themselves incredibly visible (and in some cases, actively vulnerable) for all to see. Let’s discuss the ways that we connect to these concepts in fictional spaces, and the ways we translate them to the world we live in.
